Groundrich were employed to undertake the ground works on the extension  of the WRU training facility at the Vale of Glamorgan Hotel. We were required to remove a specialist scrummaging area, we then excavated and poured a reinforced ring beam foundation that tied into the existing building. Upon erection of the structural  steel  work  we  then  installed  all  of  the  drainage  and  redirected  the  foul  drainage  around  the  new  building.  Block  work walls were then constructed to enable a metal deck flooring to be laid. We then poured the concrete slab on the flooring at ground and first floor level. The external area was then reinstated and the scrummaging area relocated and replaced.

The project was returned on programme and on budget
